Patricia is an Aeronautical Engineer from the University of Bristol (UK) with over 15 years of international experience. She has worked in more than 4GW of renewable energy projects from greenfield to operation. Patricia has worked in development and consultancy of renewable energy in 4 continents and very varied markets such as: the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Bulgaria, Poland, Russia, Saudi, Jordan, Turkey, India, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, US, Canada, Kenya, Ghana and South Africa.
She worked for the development branch of Wind Prospect Limited http://www.windprospect.com/ in the UK and she then moved onto their international consultancy team. Following that, she worked for several years as Energy Analysis Manager for Mainstream Renewable Power in Chile. After that she was General Manager at 350renewables, a technical consultancy specializing in the south american market.
Currently she works as the Country Manager for South America for DNV GL, the leading multinational consultancy for renewable certification. She founded the GTER in 2013 as a platform for collaboration to improve industry best practice and promote renewable energy development.
Christian has more than 15 years of experience in development and consultancy of renewable energy projects worldwide. He is an engineer who has spent extensive periods working in Brazil, South Africa and 7 years in the UK. Since 2011 he has been based in Chile where he has taken part in more than 3GW of local wind and solar energy projects from greenfield to operation.
His company, 350renewables, a Santiago based consultancy, specializes in offering technical services, such as energy resource analysis, operational assessments, noise studies and mitigation, shadow flicker studies, photo-montages and soiling studies in PV plants, to developers, operators or investors.
Gil Lizcano has more that 15 years working on the climate and wind meteorology sector. He worked in both academia and private industry where he gained a combined experience in climate analysis and mesoscale wind modeling. He worked for six years at Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford, participating in different international projects dealing with climate change impact assessment. In 2008, he joined Vortex and lead the companies R&D efforts. Among his responsibilities, he is in charge of providing a climate knowledge for the modeling lines implemented by Vortex.
The Institution of Mechanical Engineers is a professional association with headquarters in London but worldwide operation. It has over 110 000 members located in over 140 different countries. IMechE promotes the use of renewable energy, emission reductions and collaboration that promotes technology advancements which can reduce the strain placed on natural resources.
IMechE organises technical conferences and social events designed for engineers by engineers. The Institution also supports professionals in their CPD so that they can achieve the internationally recognised chartered status (CEng).
